The BOSS Motion Trainer campaign called for a seamless blend of material realism and dynamic motion. Commissioned by Territory Studio, we developed the visual language for the shoe from the ground up — working through look development to establish surface detail, materiality, and light response that could hold up at every scale. To bring the knitted textile to life, we built a procedural knitting system in Houdini, simulating the intricate thread structure of the trainer with full geometric accuracy. Vellum dynamics were used to add weight and breath to the fabric, letting each fiber settle and respond with the kind of physical truth that CG cloth rarely achieves.Previsualization guided the motion language early, ensuring the final shots were grounded in intent before a single frame was rendered.
